  My mother has cancer and is a sick women. She is sweet person and is nice to every one. But when ever she needs to recertifies her social worker gives her hell. Will look down on her and show attitude even smack her lips at my 65 year old mother who loves every one. She will even not mail the paperwork to intentionally make her have to go throw a drawn out process if she misses the date to recertifies and this happens offten. And she can not drive why cause shes cant see to well and chemo . So I have to take off to brring her and get the paper work that the social work should mailed . I have talked to her social worker on several occasions and she has attitude issues and disrespect me on the phone and in person. I can not go in there any more for that i would not be able to hold my tongue any more cause of these sick games she plays with my 65 year old mother. And all so made her cry on several occasions. I just hope that when i get her age i wont ever need to do what she has to go throw to survive with cancer and the thing worse then that is to deal with a nasty disrespectful social worker whos job is to help those in need , and if so i would hope god would take me before i would ever have to go down there.

  I wouldnt even give them half a star. Long story short they approved my son and myself for medicaid AND SENT ME MEDICAID CARDS, that i was about to take him to the DR with, but then tried to tell me i didn't have medicaid. So i moved to Cabarrus county and so i transferred my case from Meck to Cabb, well a month and a half later they tell me that Meck still has my case. THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME I DIDNT EVEN HAVE A CASE AT ALL! Even though Cabarrus county had told me it had been transferred and would take a few days to weeks to transfer but proceeded to send me a new card bc of the move updates, NOW they are telling me i do not even have an active case. And MRS. HOOD MIGHT I ADD WILL REFUSE TO ANSWER HER PHONE AND BLATANTLY SAYS ON THE VOICEMAIL NOT TO LEAVE HER A MESSAGE. When Mrs. Peggy Eagen hears this case she will have a field day.

  Inefficient agency all in all but this particular office will take years off your life by either the incredibly long waits or by the toll of emotional stress dealing with some of the workers here. A slightly better experience is had at the office on Freedom.

  There is always a long wait. The Employees always have nasty attitudes. They talk to you like they are personally taking this money out of there pockets and find you a favor. No one ever smiles or is nice.
